St. Louis Best Films & Coatings

I drove an hour to have PPF put on my car at St. Louis Best because they came so highly recommended. On the positive side, everyone who works there treats customers very well. The result of their work is great. On the negative side, I didn’t get a written quote, and even when I showed up to have the work done, we hadn’t completely nailed down what was to be done, but it all worked out. I brought along the touchup paint kit they asked me to buy, but they didn’t seem to use everything that came with the kit to make the touchups blend with the rest of the paint as well as possible - maybe they knew it wasn’t necessary. When it came time to pay, I learned that the only way to avoid the 3% credit card fee was to bring cash. All things considered, I would go back just because of the friendliness, workmanship, and expertise.

I’m conflicted in my rating. I had two cars going in within hours of each other, the first car was 2026 LX 700 f hybrid…. All good looked great . The second car was a GX550 it was 6 days new! They were tinting the driver and passenger windows also. Tint looked great! Until the tech told me he dented the passenger back quarter panel and scratched the wheel molding. I was devastated! But the owner immediately called his collision repair guy at Elite custom in St. Peter’s and got me scheduled for repairs! Chalk it up as “Shit Happens”. They took ownership and made everything whole again. I’d go back to them for future customization, only because Colin took ownership and actually seemed like he cared !

Fantastic work by the crew at St. Louis Best. Had PPF and roof wrap installed, both came out great, car looks awesome. Highly recommend if you are looking for high quality work. This is my second car I’ve taken to them and I’ll definitely take them my next.

I met Colin about 20 years ago and he was always my go-to for tint, vinyl and coatings. I personally watched him on one particular car cut three vinyls. The first cuts did not suit him, so he persisted until it met his high standard. Come to find out, the vinyl had a defect faint line in it- his work was flawless. Fast forward to this week when visiting STL, we parked under a huge Pine tree which left literal globs of pine sap on the windshield, hood, front quarter panels and top of our new car. There was only one place to go for consultation and solution. After 3 long hours of hard work, Detailer Michael has our vehicle looking perfect. I continue to highly recommend Colin Wright at St Louis Best Films and Coatings. And, thank you Michael for your hard work.
